Mailody 0.2.0

After a month of fixes bugs, I’m proud to announce the next version of Mailody: 0.2.0. I’ve concentrated on making mailody work with more imap servers. It became clear to me that the previous release did not work for a lot of people. I hope this release fixes the majority of those problems.

Of course I could not resist to add a small amount of new features. An overview of what has changed since the release candidate is on the site. Packages will appear soon…

Time for some new features now. I’ve already prepared the ‘sort by youngest item in the thread’ one and a method to update the folder list without deleting the complete local cache. Next one in queue: multiple identities.

  1. Thank you! :)

I just found your reply a few minutes ago, went to the mailody-site, downloaded the new package and it installed perfectly.

I really like the feel of the program. Right now I “only” have two little “pet peeves” with it:
    1. I first thought you don’t support attachments at all because
the label(s) in the header are so elusive. ;)
    2. I might be alone with this, but I have (several) more
IMAP-accounts than just one. Do you plan to support more than
    one account?

Anyhow: Thanks for the package! :) I’m testing it now.

  2. Thanks. It requires some discovery, but people will find the attachment sidebar in the end. At least I hope so.

I’ve no plan to support multiple imap servers. As that brings along all kinds of difficulties (dragging messages from one to the other server for example).

Multiple smtp-servers/identies will be supported in the next release…

  3. Hi

Did anyone install this while using the kde-latest repository? The package available via the Debian server requires kdelibs4c2a in version >= 4:3.5.5-1 but I (using said repository) only have version 4:3.5.5-0ubuntu3.

    Any hints?

  4. When I have a bit of time, I will make a package for you. Keep an eye on the mailody site.
