RSIBreak porting almost done
RSIBreak is in good shape for KDE4, all the basic stuff works, just some bugs left. And those will take large amounts of time to solve probably. 90% of the task you do in 10% of the time, the other 10% will take 90%.
Today I sat down, and read up on Plasma. My last blog entry triggered comments about making rsibreak work with Plasma. After reading the example I made the Plasma applet. The screenie:

It’s not graphically very appealing, but I don’t own the skills to do that yet, so I’ve to learn those before it gets visually more attractive.
Wasn’t it, “90% of the task you will do in 90% of the time, the other 10% will take 90%?”
to hear that this very nice tool i use all the time gets ported to kde4!
and i think the plasma-applet-approach is the better one (as others can easily improve the graphical part and its better integrated in the desktop)
I thought it was about 80% and 20% but I guess it’s not that important.
The important thing is that the plasmoid is very nice looking. I am a bit afraid of a KDE 4 overall appearance that is all blinky and shiny like a polished car from the 60′s.
I like a clean and discreet look and thus your plasmoid style. :)
