		<description>In case of the Google Contacts resource (according to its maintainer) the login is handled through SSL/TLS but the normal data transfer is not due to Google not offering that in their API.

The resource could be changed to encrypt all data before sending it which would mean it would also be stored encrypted, however it would then only be accessible by other clients capable of the same encryption, e.g. not the Google web front end.</description>
